We would love to have you worship with us this Sunday night. Our Sunday worship services are the highlight of our week, and we invite you to join us. We know that visiting a new church for the first time can be an awkward experience so we want to be as helpful as we can to make your experience a good one. Below is some information that we hope will make your visit more enjoyable. And if you decide to visit us, we would love to hear your feedback! Click here to complete our visitor survey. What is the service like? If you would like to get a better idea of what the worship is like before you visit, check out the media area of our main website where you can listen to previously recorded sermons and songs. What should I wear? The dress for our Sunday evening service is casual. We invite you to come as you are, wearing whatever clothes make you feel the most comfortable. Some people prefer to get more dressed up than others, but the majority like to take the opportunity to dress casual and comfortable. Seeing folks in t-shirts and jeans (or shorts) is pretty common on Sunday nights. How long will the service last? Our Sunday night service lasts about an hour and fifteen minutes. Will I have to say anything, sign anything, or be singled out in any way? Please don’t be nervous about your first visit with us. You are our guest, and we want you to feel comfortable. While you will be greeted and welcomed, you won’t be put on the spot, singled-out or embarrassed. During the service, you´ll notice an Attendance Pad being passed down your row, which is an easy way for us to get better acquainted. We do like to collect some basic information from people using this, but if you'd prefer not to, that's alright with us. Am I going to be expected to give money? Absolutely not! However, during the service there is a time to worship God through the giving of tithes and offerings. This is an act of worship for our members and friends (those who consider Lebanon their church home), allowing them to thank God for all of the great work He is doing in their lives. As a guest, please do not feel any pressure or obligation to give. What about my kids? Is there child care available? There is currently no child care available for our Sunday evening service however this is subject to change based on need. The Sunday night worship service is very casual and family friendly so we encourage families with young and old children to attend this service. If lack of child care is a prohibiting factor to you joining us on Sunday night, please let us know by contacting us by phone or email. We'd love to hear your feedback as we are more than willing to make child care available if there is a need, but we only know if you tell us! You don't have to be a current worshipper with us in order to give us feedback, so prospective guests and current attendees, please let us know!!! We are committed to making sure your needs are met. Are your facilities handicapped accessible? Yes, the main level of the church facility including the lobby, restrooms, and sanctuary are wheelchair accessible via a ramp. An elevator provides access to the lower level which includes the fellowship hall and educational rooms. How do I get there, and is parking available? Yes, we have free parking on the premises! Please visit our directions area to find out out to get here. And if you're not driving yourself, our facility is also within close proximity of public transportation, Port Authority of Allegheny County (PAT) transit system. Click here to visit PAT transit site for fees, routes, and schedules. Are you affiliated with a particular denomination? Lebanon Church is a congregation of the Presbyterian Church (USA) and is, along with 152 other congregations, a member of the Pittsburgh Presbytery, which is one of the 16 presbyteries under the Synod of the Trinity, located in Camp Hill, PA. While we are a PC(USA) church, people who attend may come from a wide variety of faith backgrounds - Catholic, Lutheran, Methodist, Nondenominational, etc. Together, we focus on biblical truth and teachings, and pursuing an active relationship with Jesus Christ. What if I'm not even sure I believe in God? If you haven't made a decision to follow Christ, but would like to know more about it, you're a seeker - and that's a good thing! That means you're asking questions about spiritual things and how they might relate to your life. We want to welcome you to explore answers to your questions here. Will I understand the message even if I don't know much about the Bible? Our pastors present messages that connect with people's lives by using the ageless wisdom of Scripture and presenting it in a creative, yet straight-forward way. The services are designed to be easily understood by individuals checking out what it really means to have a personal relationship with Jesus as well as those who have been committed Christ-followers for many years. We think you'll find our services to be very helpful in your personal spiritual growth. What if I can't make it for Sunday night or don't like contemporary music? We would love for you to join us this Sunday night, but if you can't for any reason, we also offer a traditional worship service on Sunday mornings at 11 AM (10 AM during the summer months). Visit our main site to find our complete worship schedule. But I still have more questions! Please feel free to call us anytime - we'll be happy to take the time to answer any question you may have. Better yet, why not visit us this Sunday and see for yourself what a great place Lebanon Church can be! |
